The music of Tchaikovsky and the choreography of our Russian ballet mistress, Anya Ivanova-Bojko, join together in a classic presentation of the beloved seasonal ballet The Nutcracker. For many families, this is an annual holiday tradition and often times, may be their child’s first experience at attending a ballet production. Cecil Dance Theatre stays true to the original story as young Clara Silberhaus awaits the arrival of her eccentric uncle to the family Christmas Eve party. Once there he presents her with a lovely nutcracker doll. That night, she falls asleep with her nutcracker tucked in her arms and she dreams the most exciting and adventurous dream - her nutcracker battles with an army of mice, turns into a Prince, and takes her on a journey through different lands. The Cecil Dancenter's presentation of this timeless ballet will delight one and all.
